A video gets made at the moment a container is opened. It is the only place anything records whether the food was any good — the label has the macros, the plan has the schedule, and neither has an opinion.
These are from the August 28 batch, the first week of this. They are transcribed as spoken and not tidied up.
Saturday, August 29 · Breakfast — the first meal of the first week
Cinnamon bun oats
“That was amazing. It was so good. Wow, this is awesome.”
Okay. I'm on my first morning of Ruby Meals. Those are the macros. Okay. Let's see. We're going to unbox a little tamper-proof cover. I think that was originally to keep me out of her food, but now it's mine.
What do we have here? So this is cinnamon bun. Four night oats — let's see how they are. Definitely, definitely turned oaty. Yep, it's very thick oat-like texture. I like it. That was amazing. It was so good. Wow, this is awesome.
Saturday morning, August 29. Macros written over the Use By bar, the eating date in Shelf Life, Dad in the Employee field, SAT circled in pen.
The tamper band is a joke that stopped being a joke. It was there to keep him out of her food, and now the food is his.
Sunday, August 30 · Lunch
Tofu noodle bowls
“It's really incredible. Love it. Love the macros, love the taste, love it all.”
All right, it's lunchtime, which means that it is tofu noodle bowl time. Let's see, we got tofu noodle bowls, 410 calories, 34 grams of protein, very professional packaging, 48 grams of carbs, 15 grams of fat, and then 13 grams of fiber.
Yeah, a little salad. We got my little dressing thing — oh, it's kind of like a sesame down there. All right — oh, maybe that's — it's got peanut butter. A lot of peanut butter. Edamame in here, they're gonna have that as a separate part. Okay, more of my peanut butter. Love the peanut butter. Here we go.
It's like a shredded, not a cabbage kind of thing. Very nice. So good. It's really incredible. Love it. Love the macros, love the taste, love it all.
Sunday, August 30. Two bowls, one dish, one label each — Ruby's carries no macros.
One label, one dish, and at least three separately packed components — noodles, a dressing cup, and edamame kept apart on purpose. The label says none of that. Only opening it does.
